I was born in Ambleside and now from my studio at Loughrigg, Ambleside. 

I am continually inspired by the landscape, flora and fauna on my doorstep. I am happy to work in all mediums but mostly use watercolour and pastel.

As a long-standing member of the Ambleside & District Art Society I particularly enjoy the plein-air painting sessions in summer, filling my sketchbooks with watercolours. It is, however, the winter landscape which truly inspires me, with its low sun, long shadows, frost covered foliage and the tracery of tree branches and preferably a fall of snow to put the icing on the cake.

I was made a member if the Lakes Artists Society in 2008.
